"From" is the lowest pharmacy price weed.de showed, per gram for flower and per milliliter for extracts; "Pharmacies" counts pharmacies listing the product. Products are named by their producers; a prescription is required. Disclosure: weed.de is run by Official Cannabis's publisher and its editor-at-large.8
How these numbers were collected
- Source: Weedmaps’ public product listings, captured on Oct 4, 2026 for one city per state, counting stores and deliveries within 50 miles and in the same state.1
- A menu item counts when its name contains "Lava Cake" and it is sold as flower, including smalls and ground flower; crosses written with x, × or + and pre-rolls are excluded.
- Names that put a flavor or color word right before the name ("Vanilla Lava Cake") or a strain word after it ("Lava Cake Kush") count as different strains and are excluded; "Black Rock Lava Cake", which Weedmaps lists as another name for Lava Cake, is counted.2
- "Median eighth" uses only items sold as an eighth (3.5 g). Listed prices may or may not include tax, deals are not applied, and medians from a handful of items are indicative only.
- Only stores with a Weedmaps menu are counted, so a low count can reflect Weedmaps coverage rather than the market.

Names you will see on menus
Weedmaps lists Black Rock Lava Cake and Lava Cake #11 as other names for Lava Cake, and AllBud also gives Lava Cake #11; items under those names contain "Lava Cake" and are counted above.2,3 Weedmaps files Vanilla Lava Cake separately, as a cross of Lava Cake and Vanilla Kush, so it is left out, as are offspring sold under their own names, such as Jungle Lava and PB Souffle.4,5,6 In state lab records, only 16 results across all product types carried near-miss names, none of them flower, against 535 flower tests of Lava Cake itself.7
