Lab data
Lava Cake potency: THC, CBD and terpenes from 535 lab tests
In 535 state lab tests, Lava Cake flower had a median total THC of 20.00%, with the middle half of results between 18.01% and 22.57%.1 CBD is negligible, and β-caryophyllene and β-myrcene lead the terpenes close together, the same two Leafly lists first.1,2

How published THC figures compare
Strain databases publish a single figure or a range: Leafly lists 22%, Weedmaps 20–24% and AllBud 15–18%.2,3,4 Seed versions are listed at 22% (Blim Burn Seeds) and 23% (Zamnesia’s feminized and autoflowering versions), and Plantation Premium Seeds gives 16–24%, according to SeedFinder’s listings and Zamnesia’s own page.5,6,7,8 In state lab results, 90% of Lava Cake flower tested below 24.92% and 9.3% reached 25% or more, while three in four results came in above the top of AllBud’s range.1 The highest single result in our data was 28.98%.1
By state, the medians were 20.00% in Nevada (365 tests), 20.93% in Michigan (107 tests) and 19.00% in Washington (58 tests).1 In every year with at least 100 tests (2020–2022) the yearly median stayed between 19.32% and 20.56%.1 Leafly lists caryophyllene, myrcene and humulene as the dominant terpenes; in our data the first two come in the same order, and humulene ranks fourth at a median of 0.12%.1,2

Limits of this data
- Coverage is uneven. Nevada (365), Michigan (107) and Washington (58) supply 99.1% of the 535 tests, which date from 2019 to 2024; Colorado, Massachusetts, Maryland and Utah add 5 between them. Oregon and Rhode Island results carry no product names and could not be matched, and no California test matched the name.
- Some labs report higher THC than others, so we publish medians and middle ranges rather than maxima. One lab accounts for 40.9% of these tests (24 labs in total).
- Terpene medians come from 366 tests with individual terpene values, 365 of them from Nevada labs, so the profile describes Nevada flower above all. The Maryland test reports only total terpenes, and none of the tests from Michigan, Washington, Colorado and Utah carry terpene values.
- We matched names strictly: crosses and near-miss names (16 results across all product types, none of them flower) are excluded and counted, and duplicate certificates are removed.
